When I was young, I had a friend whose home was filled with lovely Ralph Lauren Florals and at the time I thought they were the most beautiful fabrics I had ever seen. They felt so lively. Since then I have always been drawn to those vibrant and very realistic floral prints.
Recently it seems these bold florals have made a comeback and I have begun to see more and more used in Editorials. There was a picture I saw a few years back with mixed floral pillows and I thought it it added such lovely layers to the room.
Being drawn to eclectic designs, I immediately knew I wanted to incorporate some bold florals in our home. Most of the covers I made from fabrics I found online and some are from Etsy and other random shops but I am very happy with how they all seem to work together.
The different layers of color seem to me, reminiscent of the different layers you'd find in a rose garden and I just love the way they brighten up a white room.
